Elephants dream is a short ten minutes animation movie. It has been developed completely by open source software such as Blender. The project started on March 24, 2006 it was over after eight months of development by seven artists. I haven’t personally done anything with blender but the animations in this short movie is truly amazing. You can watch the movie on line or save it to your computer under deferent resolutions. The source is also available on the website for download. Here is a short description of the movie: “Elephants Dream is the story of two strange characters exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine. The elder, Proog, acts as a tour-guide and protector, happily showing off the sights and dangers of the machine to his initially curious but increasingly skeptical protege Emo. As their journey unfolds we discover signs that the machine is not all Proog thinks it is, and his guiding takes on a more desperate aspect.”
